The Independent Development Trust (IDT) says it is committed to engaging the Northern Cape Education Department and crafting a way forward.
This follows growing calls for the abandoned Northern Cape boarding school project that was funded by the IDT to be completed.
The R173-million construction project that started seven years ago has been halted.
The spotlight is on the state entity regarding unfinished infrastructure projects across the country.
IDT Acting Spokesperson, Lerato Modisana, says “At this stage, the IDT can neither confirm nor deny the specific details referenced. We will first engage the client department to verify the facts and obtain supporting information. Our response will be based on confirmed and verifiable data to ensure accuracy. We remain committed to transparency and will provide an informed comment once this process has been concluded.”
