Greenville Hospital in the Eastern Cape.

The ailing Greenville Hospital in Mbizana is one of the facilities affected by the heavy rain in the Eastern Cape. Staff members’ offices have been flooded and mopping operations are underway.
Two weeks ago, residents protested outside the hospital complaining about the dilapidated infrastructure and a shortage of staff.
The residents are demanding that a new hospital be built in the area as it caters to hundreds of people in the Alfred Nzo District.
Staff and patients are concerned about the impact the heavy rain will have on the already poor state of infrastructure.
