Flu vaccine.
Health experts have warned that the flu can cause serious illness for those at risk, including the elderly, pregnant women, and children.
They have advised the public to get vaccinated as the country’s flu season starts.
Influenza affects children (5–15), older adults, pregnant women, and those with chronic conditions like diabetes or heart disease. If you’re at risk, don’t skip the vaccine!

Seasonal influenza vaccine is available at public health clinics as well as through private healthcare providers, including general practitioners and pharmacies.
The World Health Organisation and National Institute for Communicable Diseases recognise vaccination as the most effective way to prevent the flu.
Dr Michael de Villiers has cautioned against the use of antibiotics for the treatment of the flu.
