The Pretoria Magistrate’s Court.
The case against a member of the Hawks, Papie Tsie, and a Tembisa Hospital official, Zacharia Tsisele, has been postponed to next Tuesday at the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court.
Both have been formally charged with corruption. The duo allegedly attempted to bribe another Hawks officer working on the ongoing Tembisa Hospital investigations.
They were arrested yesterday after allegedly paying a bribe of R1000 to the investigating officer, who had planned to arrest them as soon as the transaction was completed.
Gauteng NPA Spokesperson, Lumka Mahanjana, says, “The two officials, one of which is the official of the Tembisa hospital, another official is the member of the Hawks, appeared briefly at the Pretoria Magistrates Court and the matter was postponed to the 2nd of December for bail information and bail application.”
