A large group of residents of Hammanskraal in northern Pretoria are protesting outside the Themba Magistrate’s Court where a 26-year-old man is due to appear this morning.
The man allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend, Kgaugelo Marota and attempted to kill his current partner.
North West Police Spokesperson Adele Myburgh says the body of 20-year-old Marota was found at a tavern in a village near Hammanskraal.
Police say the suspect posted the reasons behind his actions on social media.

Marota was declared dead on the scene by Emergency and Medical Rescue Services.
Further investigations also revealed that the suspect, after allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend, went back to his house, where he stabbed his current girlfriend multiple times.
