The Pretoria Magistrate’s Court is expected to deliver judgment today in the bail application of the 41-year-old man accused of the assault at the Zanzou nightclub.
The Congolese national was arrested last month when videos surfaced showing young men at the Pretoria nightclub being sexually violated.
He is accused of eight counts of compelled assault, and five counts of assault to cause grievous bodily harm among others.
Last week, the accused appeared in court to request for bail.
However, the state has argued that the violent crimes he has been accused of, forcing the young men to sodomise themselves, must be reason enough to deny him bail.
The state also presented evidence from an identity parade where a victim identified the accused, strengthening the case against him.
