Stage setting ahead of the EFF National People’s Assembly as Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg on 13 December 2024.
Former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Secretary-General Godrich Gardee remains mum on speculation that he will be vying for the position of Deputy President of the party in the third National People’s Assembly.
This as the EFF will be voting in its new top leadership during the conference, where EFF leader Julius Malema is expected to serve as party President for a third term.
The Deputy President position was left vacant after the departure of Floyd Shivambu who joined the newly formed uMkhonto weSizwe Party led by Jacob Zuma.
Speaking at the Johannesburg Expo Centre in Nasrec this morning, Gardee says the decision is not his to decide.
“The question will be asked by the IEC and whoever is nominated. It has nothing to do with me.”
