The lead investigator in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial Bongani Gininda has once again told the High Court in Pretoria that there was communication between the soccer star’s former girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo and accused number three, Mthobisi Mncube.
Gininda is answering questions under cross-examination.
Five men are on trial for the 2014 murder of the Bafana Bafana captain.
Responding to defence counsel Charles Mnisi, Gininda says Khumalo and Mncube are linked through a photo downloaded from both their cellphones.
“On 8th November 2024 in cross-examination by Ramosepele you said: ‘The other aspect did you not touch on was that there was communication between accused 3 and Kelly Khumalo rather than accused 5 according to Col Steyn. The statement I saw and we can get into it. It links accused 3 with Kelly Khumalo. What is clear is there is a link.”
Gininda says, “I said there is a link. Mnisi says communication that’s where we are missing each other. I have always said linkages.”
