Advocate Charles Mnisi who represents accused number 3 and 1 in the Senzo Meyiwa case.
Lead investigator in the Senzo Meyiwa murder case, Brigadier Bongani Gininda, has denied that accused number one, Muzi Sibiya, was assaulted in his presence.
He was testifying in the trial in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria yesterday.
Sibiya alleges that he was taken to different locations following his arrest and was assaulted.
The alleged assault in May 2020 subsequently led to the confession statement.
Sibiya is among the five men on trial for the 2014 murder of the football star.
The defence expressed disappointment that they could not be furnished with vehicle tracking data.
Defence Lawyer, Charles Mnisi said: “Brigadier, do you then realise that the production of the AV records of the motor vehicles that were involved in the arrest of accused number one, would go a very long way in assisting this court to come to a just finding.”
