National Commissioner of the SAPS, General Fannie Masemola.
National Police Commissioner General Fanie Masemola is expected to visit Reiger Park, East of Johannesburg, on Sunday afternoon.
This after six people were fatally shot and three others were injured on Saturday.
Police say the suspects, travelling in two vehicles, opened fire indiscriminately before fleeing the scene.
The motive for the attack is not known at this stage, and police have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
Masemola is expected to meet with the Acting Gauteng Police Commissioner, Major General Fred Kekana, as well as senior officers to discuss the police’s response to the latest shooting.

Meanwhile, community members say they fear for their lives due to ongoing gang-related killings in the area.
Reiger Park ward councillor Edith Claasen says, “Whatever sparked this off, I cannot tell you now. But I am sure it is a gang thing; it is a drug thing. Because what else can it be? I want to assure the community that the police are on this. People of Reiger Park, I want to assure you that the case is in good hands. Something will happen because the concern of residents is that when something gets to court, there’s always a lack of evidence.”
