Gauteng says its ready to host G20 Summit


The Gauteng Provincial Government says it is ready to welcome heads of state and government for the much-anticipated G20 Leaders’ Summit next week.

President Cyril Ramaphosa, leaders from the GPG and the City of Johannesburg are leading a CEOs cleaning campaign in Soweto as part of the final touches for the summit.

Speaking to SABC News on the sidelines of the president’s visit in Soweto, the Gauteng Provincial Government spokesperson, Elijah Mhlanga, says it is all systems go for the gathering of the most industrialised nations.

He says they have tested both the security and infrastructure for the event.
