Residents are disappointed.
One of the residents says the construction has been at a standstill since February 2020, adding that they do not know what is going on.
The National Public Works Department has blamed the South African Police Service for the lack of funds to complete the project.
The department says the project was grounded after the South African Police Service (SAPS) failed to pay specialists that include surveyors and architects.
However, police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says they have provided the department with funds to complete the construction of the police station.
