The Free State Education Department has expressed shock at the abduction of Grade 11 learner, Kamogelo Baukudi.

Two men who were impersonating police officers allegedly kidnapped the learner in Bloemfontein.

Police have been searching for the learner and the suspects since yesterday.

There will be a prayer service this evening at Baukudi’s Martie du Plessis Special School in Fichardtpark.

The Department’s spokesperson Howard Ndaba says, “We’re also concerned and we would like to make an appeal to the members of the public to assist us to assist the police, to assist the family, so that we bring back this boy to the family and back to the school.”

Ndaba says, “As you know that we have learned about this incident last night through the police. We were not aware, but we will make sure that we work with all the stakeholders to make sure that we bring this line.”
