Four people killed in separate incident in the Western Cape


Two men have been killed in a suspected gang-related shooting incident in Schaapkraal in Philippi, on the Cape Flats.

Police spokesperson, Wesley Twigg, says the men were sitting in their car when the suspects opened fire on them.

“Upon arrival on the scene (police found) two males, aged 25 and 28, who sustained gunshot wounds to their bodies. Both victims were declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. According to reports the victims were approached by suspects driving a white vehicle who opened fire on them before fleeing the scene. The motive for the attack is believed to be gang-related,” says Twigg.

Meanwhile, police are investigating the killing of a women in a shooting incident in Delft on the Cape Flats.

Twigg says the woman sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

“Police members were called to the crime scene where they found the victim with a gunshot wound to her face. The victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The motive for the attack forms part of the police investigation. The suspect fled the scene and is yet to be arrested,” he adds.

Twigg says they are also investigating the motive for the killing of a 22-year-old woman found dead in her house in Fish Hoek in False Bay, in the Western Cape

“The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation and arrests are yet to be made. Anyone with information can contact crime stop,” he adds.
