Four men nabbed by CT police for car jamming, theft and fraud


Four men have been nabbed by police on the N-2 highway near Macassar in Cape Town for the possession of jamming signal remotes and stolen goods.

Police spokesperson FC van Wyk says they followed up on information about a car involved in theft out of a motor vehicle.

He says the vehicle was pulled over and searched.

“The vehicle with false number plates was pulled over and searched. Inside the vehicle, the members found a black bag containing an Apple laptop, Apple tablet, a power bank, a passport of a white male, car keys of different vehicles and remotes that can be used in jamming signals, tablet holder, reflector jacket, a screwdriver and an external memory card reader with memory sticks.

Four males aged between 21 and 32 were arrested for possession of presumed stolen property and fraud. The suspects were detained at Macassar SAPS and will appear in the Strand Magistrate’s court once charged.”
