Four arrested for suspected theft of livestock and produce in N. Cape

Police have arrest four suspects in separate incidents involving the possession of suspected stolen livestock or produce in the Pixley Ka Seme District of the Northern Cape.

In the first incident, police in Victoria West received information about meat suspected to be stolen and stored at a local residence.

In an unrelated incident in Philipstown, officers acted on intelligence regarding possible stock theft.

Police say a 70-year-old man and woman, along with a 35-year-old man, were found in possession of meat, but were unable to give a reasonable account of its origin.

All three were arrested for alleged possession of suspected stolen livestock or produce.

All suspects will appear before their respective courts soon.
