Four accused of killing DJ Sumbody return to Alexandra court

Four men arrested in connection with the murder of Oupa Sefoka, popularly known as DJ Sumbody, are expected to be back in the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court in northern Johannesburg on Tuesday.

The accused include businessman Katiso “KT” Molefe, who is expected to apply for bail. They were arrested in Gauteng last week when they made their first court appearance.

Suspects are facing charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and possession of unlicensed firearms.

Sefoka was killed in a hail of bullets in Woodmead in November 2022.

Two other people were killed in the same incident.

All four suspects, aged between 45 and 60, have been in police custody and are expected to appear in court.

Three of the four accused are believed to be hitmen, while one allegedly ordered the hit on the DJ.

Meanwhile, police previously disclosed that the same firearms used in the murder of DJ Sumbody, have been linked to other high profile cases.
