The late Mandla “Njinji” Magwaza.
Former Ukhozi FM presenter and Radio DJ, Mandla “Njinji” Magwaza will be laid to rest on Saturday on the 31st of January 2026 at Inanda, Durban.
Magwaza who was born in Jozini, North of KZN, passed away Saturday at the age of 41 after a short illness.
He served as producer, voice-over artist and presenter at Ukhozi FM for 16 years, he then left SABC in 2024.
Family, friends and former colleagues described him as a person who had a good sense of humor.
His memorial service was held at the SABC Studios in Durban, on Thursday.

Magwaza’s death follows Zanele Mbokazi’s death who died in 2024 after battling with lung cancer, as well voice over artist Mr Martin Ziqubu who died last year after a very short illness.
The number one Radio station paid tribute to Njinji by hosting his former colleagues on a 15h00 to 18h00 show, including Linda Sibiya who left SABC 11 years ago.
Funeral service will be held at Tshanyana Primary School in Inanda from 10h00AM.
