Former transport deputy minister Dikeledi Magadzi to be buried today


Former Transport Deputy Minister, Dikeledi Magadzi will be buried in Polokwane today in a Special Provincial Official Funeral Category Two.

Magadzi’s service will be held at Jack Botes Hall in Polokwane.

Magadzi served in various roles in the national government and Limpopo provincial government.

She died on Sunday at the age of 70. Magadzi’s family spokesperson, Edgar Mushwana says Magadzi’s political life started at an early age.

“She was politically active in the underground structures of the African National Congress (ANC), she was also very active member of Federation of Transvaal Women, for those who are not aware of that, it is a forerunner of the women’s league at the time, so she was in that structure and other structures of the United Democratic Front (UDF),” adds Mushwana.
