FlySafair hit with flight delays, again

1 minute

The Airport Company South Africa (ACSA) says the King Phalo Airport is experiencing flight delays due to inclement weather in the Eastern Cape.

Passengers including those of FlySafair have been left stranded at the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

Some flights have been diverted to King Shaka International Airport, north of Durban.

Videos sent to SABC News show passengers standing in long queues.

Passenger Zoya Mabuto says the situation has not been managed well.

“The situation has been poorly managed. Poor communication all the way; from the flight when people were disembarking the flight, there was no support or guidance around where to go. People didn’t know what kind of cell to go to and fetch their things. On top of that, once people have gotten their things, they had no sense of where they are supposed to go. It was a disaster through and through. People now that say the FlySafair operations will not continue until the issue is resolved.”
