Top SA artists honoured for their contributions to South African Arts at the KKNK.
Five of South Africa’s top artists have been named honourees of the 29th annual Klein Karoo National Arts Festival (KKNK), for their lasting impact in the industry.
Marion Holm, Lee-Ann van Rooi, Henk Serfontein, John Theodore and Die Heuwels Fantasties were awarded for their contributions towards uplifting the arts in South Africa.
Together, they comprise two actresses, a music group, a music master with roots in Oudtshoorn and an award-winning visual artist.
For her contribution to comedy, as well as her work as an actress on stage and TV, Marion Holm received the Kunste Onbeperk Prize for Interpretation.
”I’m not used to awards so I’m so scared somebody’s gonna come and fetch it. I’m deeply grateful, it means so much to me.
