Five killed in two separate shooting incidents in Cape Town


Five people have been shot dead in two separate incidents in Cape Town on Friday night.

Police spokesperson, Wesley Twigg, says the Steenberg police registered two counts of murder after a 59-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were fatally shot.

In a separate incident, three men were killed and a fourth was wounded in a shooting incident in Mfuleni.

Twigg elaborates about the double murder in Steenberg, “Police members were called to the crime scene, where they found the victims with gunshot wounds to their bodies. Both victims were declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation and arrests are yet to be made.”
