Five have died and 2 injured in an accident on the N10, in Gqeberha
The N10 Road between Cookhouse and Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape has been partially opened after a multi-vehicle crash that claimed 5 lives.
Provincial transport spokesperson, Unathi Binqose, says 2 males and 3 females died. Two other people who sustained injuries were rushed to hospital.
Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
Earlier, Binqose said emergency personnel are still on the scene, and the N10 remains closed to traffic due to the area being remote.
“Information is not flowing freely as it should be, but we will give you an update as a clearer picture emerges,” he added.
