Five accused drug lords appearing in the Groblersdal Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo.
Five accused drug lords have briefly appeared in the Groblersdal Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo. The accused, Frederick Botha, Simphiwe Khumalo and three Mexican nationals, Ruben Vidal Rodriguez, Gutierrez Lopez Alejandro and Gonzalez Jorge Partida were arrested in connection with the drug bust worth over R2 billion at a farm in July last year. They allegedly operated a drug manufacturing laboratory.
The accused have had their case transferred to the Groblersdal regional court. They’re accused of manufacturing drugs at the Thaba Monate farm in Groblersdal.
Police say the three Mexican nationals have been in the country illegally for over two years. The accused are facing several charges, including dealing in drugs.
Their first appearance in the regional court has been scheduled for the 14th of April. The accused are in police custody.
