England’s Matt Fitzpatrick carded a final-round 68 (-3) to clinch the PGA Tour’s Valspar Championship in Palm Harbour, Florida.
Fitzpatrick was remarkably consistent throughout his final round after losing out at the Players Championship to Cameron Young a week ago.
David Lipsky’s birdie chance from just outside 30 feet on the 18th, missed to the left.
However the 37-year-old American closed with a 70 to match his best finish on the PGA Tour.
Sungjae Im, who had led since the opening round and was up by three strokes through 54 holes, stumbled to a 74 and finished at 8 under and in a tie for fourth.
