The Free State Development Corporation (FDC) is cracking down on rent and business loan defaulters. FDC’s Acting CEO, Kgotso Tau says they are taking tough action to ensure that what is owed to the corporation is paid.
Tau says the FDC has over 3300 rental clients and 1200 loan clients with a considerable amount of these in arrears.
“We have set up a crack team that is engaging with every client of the FDC to ensure that they meet their obligations towards the FDC. What we realised is that we were too late. We allowed things to move until the things worsened before we can intervene.”
