The AfriFarm Farmers Association in the Northern Cape has called on action to be taken against the farm murders in John Taolo Gaetsewe District in Kuruman.
Two farmers, Mothibeng Botsheleng and Kgakgamatso Nonong, were shot and killed in Ganap Village last weekend.
Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The association’s President Pule Disipi says, “Our hearts are broken for what happened at Ganap. They killed two farmers and it’s not the first time in the John Taolo Gaetsewe District. They killed Itumeleng and Letebele. It looks like we are not safe. We are not protected. What we need is justice for what happened in our area. As farmers, we are food producers, so we need to be protected.”
