Families of the three Free State constables say they are traumatised over the tragic loss of their children.

They have collected the bodies of their loved ones at the Pretoria Central mortuary and are at the scene where the bodies were retrieved to conduct rituals to fetch their spirits.

Keamogetswe Buys, Boipelo Senoge, and Cebekhulu Linda were reported missing for several days before they were retrieved from the Hennops River this week.

Constable Linda’s relative described him as a happy soul, “He was a jolly guy; he was always smiling. Even if you look at his videos, he always was with his cousins and when he was around, it was always nice because we always laughed.”

The three officers will be remembered at a memorial service on Tuesday.
