Fact Durban Rocks promises to usher in 2025 in style

One of Durban’s biggest New Year’s Eve events, Fact Durban Rocks is ready to kick off at the Moses Mabhida Stadium’s People’s Park.

DJ Tira – who has been organising the event since 2011 – says they are set to start the entertainment at 5 o’clock this afternoon and keep going until 5 o’clock tomorrow morning.

He has asked people to drink responsibly and plan how they are going to get home safely after the event.

“This event is for people to cross over to 2025 in grand style. We put together a great lineup of artists, entertainment, we are hosting people … [we have] our VIP marquee. So people who are coming to visit Durban can be able to enjoy themselves here at Mozmapina People’s Park.”

“TKZ is actually doing sound check for tonight, so they are one of our headliners. But we also have got Big Zulu, we’ve got Sjava, we’ve got Duncan, we’ve got Zakwe, we’ve got a beautiful line up. Dlala Thukzin is gonna be here, so people must come and enjoy here at Fact Durban Rocks,” adds DJ Tira.-Reporting by Asanda Dlamini
