The utility says it has replenished sufficient emergency reserves.
On Friday, the country was surprised by Eskom announcing the implementation of Stage 3 loadshedding.
Minister of Electricity Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa said it was sad that Eskom had to implement loadshedding again after 10 months.
Ramokgopa briefed the media on Friday where he announced that Stage 3 loadshedding would commence from 5pm.
The power cuts were initially anticipated to last until early next week.
