The Enyobeni inquest in the East London Regional Court sitting in Mdantsane, Eastern Cape, will resume on Friday.
The inquest has been postponed for the viewing of video footage of the night in question, where 21 patrons died at Enyobeni tavern at Scenery Park in 2022.
The footage was requested by tavern manager Siyakhangela Ndevu to verify the events. Ndevu disputed the testimony of one of the witnesses about the alleged chaotic events that occurred that night.
19-year-old Ovayo Mkhonkqo, who was among the patrons who survived the ordeal, testified that the establishment was overcrowded when she arrived, but Ndevu refuted these claims.
