The Enyobeni inquest has been adjourned until Thursday for the continuation of the video footage viewing.
A video footage of the night when 21 patrons died in June 2022 was played during the court proceedings today.
Siyakhangela Ndevu, who is the manager of the establishment, could be seen in the bar area selling alcohol to patrons on numerous occasions.
The video footage also depicts patrons coughing, covering their mouths and noses.
One of the deceased patron’s parent Ntombizoke Mngangala says she hopes that the video footage evidence will shed more light about the events that unfolded on the night in question.
“At least some of the children who were there could be part of the viewing it. (It) will assist a lot because they are people who can be able to say this is what was happening instead of thinking that they are smelling something,” says Mngangala.
