England’s women’s cricket team has drawn first blood in the three match T20 series against South Africa.

The Proteas who were invited to bat first, posted 142 for five in the 20 overs in the opening match of the series at Buffalo Park in East London.

Thanks to a fighting half-century from all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt, England coasted to the target with four deliveries to spare- securing a four wicket victory.

The next match of the series is a night game at Willowmoore Park in Benoni on Wednesday.
