EMS on high alert as Joburg rain persists

Johannesburg Emergency Services Spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi, is urging residents living near riverbanks to take extra pre-cautionary measures as certain rivers are expected to flood.

This as isolated showers are expected persist for the next few days.

Mulaudzi says residents should avoid unnecessary trips.

“We’re encouraging our residents to continue to be on alert and make sure as and when they are conducting their daily activities they exercise caution so for any emergencies or any life-threatening emergencies our residents can call emergency services control and command centre on 011 375 5911.”
