Emergency rescue workers had to be called to attempt to rescue a family of six at Maswanganyi village near Giyani.
Emergency medical services and a rescue team have been called to Maswanganyi village near Giyani in Limpopo to evacuate a family whose house is flooded.
Water flowing from the nearby mountain into a nearby stream has flooded house.
Emergency services personnel say occupants of the house are safe.
One of the occupants Emily Hlungwane however, says they have lost most of their belongings.
“My house was in water. You would not move in and out of the house. We were fearful that water would have swept us. We don’t know what we will eat. Everything is damaged. I don’t have any food. I don’t know what my kids will eat.”
