City of Johannesburg Emergency Services says they are currently responding to a fire incident at the corner of Peter Place and Winnie Mandela Drive in Bryanston.
EMS firefighters found shacks and recycled material on fire.
No injuries have been reported thus far.
“Fire fighters are working hard to have the blaze contained. The residents of Johannesburg are advised to avoid the following streets, Peter Place, Winnie Mandela and 14th street,” says EMS spokesperson, Xolile Khumalo.
