An Eldorado Park ward councillor, Juwairiya Kaldene has asked the community to pray for a 4-year-old girl reportedly on life support at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto.
The little girl was allegedly assaulted by her own father in Eldorado Park south of Johannesburg this week.
Gauteng police are yet to issue a formal statement on the incident, and to confirm if indeed the little girl’s father has been arrested.
Member of Parliament and Anti-Drug activist, Dereleen James visited the family on Thursday evening.
Kaldene elaborates: “The mother of the child is confused. When is the abuse of women and children ever going to stop. We are asking the community to pray for this little girl.” – Reporting by Lopang Alamu
