Eldorado Park residents welcome Lesufi’s SOPA

Some residents of Eldorado Park in Johannesburg have reacted positively to Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi’s State of the Province Address at Nasrec.

He unveiled a multi-million-rand infrastructure upgrade plan to address the water crisis in the province.

It includes constructing new reservoirs, expanding storage capacity and accelerating repairs on pipelines and pumps.

Daphney Woodworth has described the address as a clear demonstration of decisive leadership.

“I’ve heard that a lot of issues, water issues has been met. I’ve heard about job creation, and I also heard about the Nissan plant. But then we ourselves, who live in townships experience service delivery issues daily, like sanitation, water issues, and also unemployment.”

“I think that is where most of the crime comes from, because of the lack of jobs. But I also heard that the Premier said that 35 000 jobs will be created, that’s great. So I’m really happy for how things are coming to be there for the country,”adds Woodworth.
