Eight people have been killed in a collision between a minibus taxi and a truck on the N3 highway between Van Reenen’s Pass and Montrose in the Free State.
The N3 Toll Route is currently closed near Swinburne in the Free State following an earlier fatal crash between a minibus taxi and a truck.
SAPS and emergency services are currently attending to the crash scene.
Road users are warned to expect congestion and delays between Van Reenen and Swinburne for the duration of the cleanup and recovery operations.
Motorists have been urged to approach the area with caution.
