Eight killed in KwaZulu-Natal crash


Eight people have been killed in a collision between a truck and a sedan on the N2 near Scottsburg on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast.

IPSS Medical Rescue Spokesperson Samantha Meyrick says the deceased include children.

Meanwhile, Police are yet to investigate the cause of a crash in which three children were killed and 10 others wounded on the R76 outside Viljoenskroon in the Free State.

Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Sipho Towa says two children were critically injured and taken to heath facilities in Kroonstad following the crash which happened on Friday.

Towa says the crash involved a vehicle which was travelling from Kroonstad to Sasolburg. –Reporting by Samke Mtshali and Nomsa Mazibuko.
