The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) welcomes Parliament’s adoption of a motion for the establishment of an inquiry into violent crimes in Cape Town.
While the party initially called for an Ad Hoc committee to be established, the National Assembly resolved for it to be amended to be a multi-portfolio parliamentary process.

The party says the latest crime statistics once again show that the Western Cape has, what it calls, become the murder capital of the country.
Areas like Mfuleni, Kraaifontein and Delft occupy the top three spots in the country with regard to murder rates.
