Acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has accused the Acting Minister of Police Firoz Cachalia of interfering in investigations into political killings in KwaZulu-Natal.
This after Cachalia publicly criticised the return of 121 dockets to the National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola’s task team earlier this week.
Cachalia argued that decisions about the dockets should wait until the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry had completed its work.
KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has also accused Police Minister Senzo Mchunu who is on leave of absence of interfering in police operations.
