The Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency has officially launched the tourism season in Addo. The focus for this year is to highlight the province’s rich local culture and abundance of outdoor activities.
Hidden gems, stunning landscapes, warm hospitality and beautiful beaches is what awaits visitors in the Eastern Cape.
The Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism says is ready to welcome visitors for an exciting adventure.
“Part of what we want people to expect when they come here, the oversold 800-meter coastline is not an over statement, it’s not an oversell. It means that the beaches of the Eastern Cape are available blue flag accredited, not less than 10 of them. They are available for people to enjoy but the second thing that we would like to share the successful hosting of different conferences in the past month, mega signature events that we have managed to hose, is a testimony that people have fallen in love with the Eastern Cape,” says Vuyani Dayimani, Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency CEO.
The influx of tourists is expected to bring a significant economic boost to the province, creating jobs, stimulating local businesses, and contributing to the region’s economic growth.
“Tourism is one of the priorities and the pillars of the economic strategy of the province is, you know, that with tourism your job, because in this establishment, that people that are working so tourism is one of the pillars of the economy of the province is very beautiful province when encouraging people to come and visit Eastern Cape,” says Nonkqubela Pieters, MEC for Economic Development and Tourism.
Sunday’s River is famous for its citrus farms, but it also has many amazing tourist attractions to visit and enjoy.
“Sunday’s river and Sarah Baartman … we pride ourselves to be a tourist attractions and economic hub of the province through citrus, it makes us important to the economics of the province. Sundays River as beautiful as it is it’s the one that’s gets to host a launch if this magnitude,” says Solethu Lucas, Sunday’s River Vally Mayor.
The summer launch will be followed by a three-day media tour, providing a first-hand experience to some of the best attractions in the Eastern Cape.
