The coastal city of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal has seen a significant decrease in road crashes on New Year’s Eve, with only 12 incidents recorded and attended to.
This according to eThekwini metro police spokesperson, Boysie Zungu.
Zungu also praised motorists for their adherence to traffic rules, which contributed to the minimal number of crashes.
“Yes, I can confirm that only 12 accidents were recorded and attended to on the New Year’s Eve. Two of those accidents were including pedestrians. That shows great improvement when compared to other years,” says Zungu.
