Durban businessman shot dead

A 32-year-old businessman has been shot and killed on Meridian Drive in Durban North.

It is alleged that the man, identified as a security company owner, was shot while in his car in a parking lot.

Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says Umhlanga police have opened a case of murder and says the motive of the killing is unknown at this stage.

Netshiunda says, “Information at this stage suggests that the victim was seated in his vehicle when suspects opened fire at him, killing him instantly. The unknown number of suspects are said to have fled from the scene in two vehicles.”
