The driver of a fleet vehicle, assigned to Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) President and Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Velenkosini Hlabisa, has been killed in a car crash at KwaDukuza near Durban.
The party says in a statement that the driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash at 4:30pm on Saturday on the N2 northbound.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
Hlabisa has visited the family to inform them of the tragic news and convey his condolences.
The IFP says out of respect for the family, as they notify relatives, that the identity of the driver won’t be disclosed at this stage.
