DJ Warras’ mother fears accused will flee if granted bail

The mother of media personality Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock believes the man accused of involvement in her son’s killing would evade trial if granted bail.

The Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court is expected to rule in Victor Majola’s bail application when the case resumes on Monday.

The state alleges that Majola orchestrated the killing of DJ Warras last month. The investigating officer says details of the media personality and those of his partner were found on Majola’s phone.

DJ Warras was shot dead outside a building in Johannesburg last month.

Beverly Stock, the mother of the media personality spoke exclusively to SABC News.

“I am very much agreeing with how the state presented their case that the accused would present a danger if he is let out on bail, he would intimidate witnesses and because I, myself are from rural KZN, I know that he would be a flight risk and we would never find him in the foothills of KwaZulu Natal.”
