DJ Sumbody murder suspects court case postponed

The case of four men arrested in connection with the murder of Oupa John Sefoka, more popularly known as DJ Sumbody, has been postponed to July 29 at the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court, north of Johannesburg.

All four suspects were arrested in Gauteng yesterday afternoon.

Sefoka was killed in a hail of bullets in Woodmead in November 2022. Two other people were also killed in the same incident.

All four suspects, three of whom are alleged hitmen, together with the suspected mastermind of the hit, made a brief appearance in the dock before their case was postponed.

The matter was postponed to allow the state time to further investigate the matter ahead of a formal bail application at the next appearance.

They are all facing charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
