DJ Sbu denies corruption allegations made by Adv Behari against him

Radio, TV personality and entrepreneur Sbusiso Leope, commonly known as DJ Sbu, has denied corruption allegations made against him by the suspended Head of Legal and Risk Services at the City of Ekurhuleni, Advocate Kemi Behari, at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on Monday.

Advocate Kemi Behari accused DJ Sbu and businessman Thembinkosi “TK” Nciza of benefiting from R100 million in municipal grants.

In a statement posted on his social media platforms, DJ Sbu said the allegations are entirely false, defamatory, and without any factual basis.

“I categorically deny any involvement in wrongdoing, misconduct, or unethical activity of any kind. Throughout my career in broadcasting, entrepreneurship, and public service, I have conducted myself with integrity, transparency, and respect for the law. My work across media, business, and community development has always been guided by principles of accountability and positive social impact,” wrote DJ Sbu.

He emphasised that if the allegations persist, he will not hesitate to pursue appropriate action.

DJ Sbu and TK Nciza are co-founders of TS Records, which made headlines following the passing of multi-award-winning singer Zahara, who released her debut album under the label in 2011.
