Police have arrested the Deputy Principal of a school in relation to a robbery and murder.
Police have confirmed a shocking development in the murder of the 61-year-old Tembisa school principal, who was killed at his home yesterday.
Gauteng Deputy Police Commissioner Fred Kekana says one of the suspects arrested today, is a deputy principal at the same school.
The principal was shot and killed at his home after unknown men broke in using an axe. The attackers assaulted his wife and son and stole cellphones, laptops and cash before fleeing.
Kekana says investigations are ongoing.
“A team was established to follow up all this immediately when they started investigating. At the end, the team managed to arrest the deputy principal of the same school and he will be appearing in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court, on Wednesday,” adds Kekana.
